The University of Liverpool men's Rugby league team enter their 41st
year as a functional university team in the 2010/2011 season. The
2009/2010 season proved to be very successful with many notable wins.
Along with a clean sheet of wins in the north west 2 bucs league, the
team emerged victorious in the university sports tournament ,the
Christie cup.
With their promotion into the prestigious northern
premier league this year, they are strengthening their links with rugby
performance in order to even further amplify all aspects of their game.
Most notably the power, aggression and quick thinking which are so
closely associated with the game of rugby league.
With the
devotion and passion for the game brought to the field by the players
themselves, combined with the coaching expertise of the rugby
performance staff, the club hopes to be a powerful force amongst the
strong set of teams to be found in the northern premier division for
many seasons to come.

RugbyPerformance.co.uk are delighted to announce that they will be continuing their relationship with Liverpool University's Rugby League team. After the initial year saw the team promoted the time is now right to press on and capitalise upon a pool of very talented players, with some serious work to ensure not only survival in this new league but success.
Jon Wilkin from Superleague giants St Helens has also volunteered his services as coaching consultant which will not only inspire the team but will provide the most up to date training information and assistance in the physical conditioning.
Success in this league requires more than a little application from the players and coaching staff, however bouyed up from a fantastic season last year I have no doubt that Liverpool University Rugby League is a team on the up. This means that all players have departed for the Summer with physical conditioning plans and will be fitness etsted on return, and in a new development for this year all Rugby scholarships will be dependant on regular successful completion of fitness tests.
